Needless today, I haven’t been keeping up with my 365. Oh well.
Found this on the side of the road. reminds me of my family back home in Jamaica. They all have cars like this. It’s their version of the mini-van. I have to get out there to visit one day. I don’t think many people, well American youth really, would be able to handle a Jamaican lifestyle. They’d abuse it. Whenever my uncles come, we have family toke sessions in the middle of the living room. Everyone grabs a pillow, cops a squat around the coffee-table and bong hits follow. I think American youth would definitely abuse this privilege. You see, Jamaicans use herb for pure meditational reasons. Once high, they don’t feel the need to broadcast it, showoff, or glorify it. It is used purely to find oneness with God (Jah in their case), get more in-tune with their thoughts, and ultimately gain higher understanding of all things; thus higher learning. It is not viewed as a drug in my family (well on the Jamaican side. Moms is still not feelin it, lol). So, it isn’t something they shy away from. I don’t know. I digress… This post is about the picture anyway….
My favorite place on earth . Can’t wait for the season to change .
No flicks today. As the return to school approaches, i find myself trying to savor these last few moments of relaxation. This album pretty much sums up my whole day. It’s been on repeat since I woke up, and it sounds so good. Love this woman’s music style: vocal arrangements, production, content, and her voice is so soothing.
Got all the snow cleaned off of “Jeff”.
Didn’t do anything eventful today. Been in my bulls sweatshirt and snoopy pajama pants listening to Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler the Creator allllll day. So, here’s an old photo of me i took on my mac. I’d take a picture right now, but it’s too dark. You thought I was gonna get up to turn the light on?
Chill day. Woke up late, listened to New Amerykah Part II: The Return of the Ankh all morning (definitely my favorite album this past year), finished up some grad school apps, and tonight went to this art gallery opening. Dragged my friends with me, against their will.
I don’t know why, but I found this little house so interesting. It is so small in person, maybe about the size of an egg. I don’t remember the artist, but there was so much detail. My camera died before I had a chance to take another picture, but there is a button you can push and lights will come on in the house and you can see inside. It had furniture, a little mini grand piano, a chandelier. Yes. I’m a nerd for this. Oh well.
